Why Loki and Freya, our ginger cats, joined совпали.рф

A game for dates needs its own guides. Not serious psychologists explaining the right way to build a relationship, but characters who can crack a joke, give you a little nudge and sometimes say what the players themselves might be too shy to say.

That's how our heart-stealing cats came to be.

Why cats? Because cats are a great fit for the mood of a date. They're independent, curious, a little cheeky, they love attention and they always seem to play by their own rules. Ours know a thing or two about flirting, too.

Why ginger? The colour made Loki and Freya bright, warm and a little mischievous. They're easy to spot on the cards and even easier to remember after the game. We wanted someone to see the box with those two ginger cats just once and recognise it the next time.

Loki

Loki is named after the god of trickery and shapeshifting in Norse mythology, Odin's blood brother. Sometimes he gets the gods out of trouble; sometimes he's the reason they're in it.

That personality was just right for our cat.

In the game, Loki is usually on the man's side. He whispers his own male wisdom: when to act, where to take the initiative and when to stop overthinking and simply enjoy the date.

Freya

Freya is the goddess of love, magic and war. Legend has it that she travels in a chariot drawn by cats, and her tears turn to gold.

So our female cat's name more or less chose itself.

Freya doesn't teach the woman how to “beat” the man. Instead, she nudges her towards openness, emotion, intimacy and that spark between two people.

Two guides to the same date

Loki and Freya stay with the players throughout the game: they appear on the cards, offer tips, make jokes and help you move on.

Over time, they became more than part of the design — they became symbols of совпали.рф.

So if you ever see a date game with ginger cats, a card game for couples with Loki and Freya, or simply find yourself searching for “that game for two with the cats” — you're probably looking for us.
